Anybody Know How Somebody Might Print This?

Noble Knight has unfortunately sold out of blank Judges Guild maps.  I wonder why.

Anyway, Rob Conley offers a copy on his Majestic Wilderlands site in .pdf form.  I was wondering if anyone out there might know how to get a print shop to print it at roughly the same size as an actual Judges Guild map.

  1. Put it in a PDF scaled to the right size, then call around and get quotes from print shops. If you're lucky, you'll find a place that will do it for under $100.

  2. Steve Jackson Games still sells their blank map packs*. Gridded on one side, hexes on the other. They aren't numbered, but they come close to what you are looking for.

*(ok, maybe they don't, but my FLGS still stocks them)

  4. The wilderlands maps printout adequately on 11x17 paper.

A copy center in a business supply store could typically do 11x17 in black and white for 25 cents or less a copy. They may or may not charge more for initial output and different weights of paper.

  6. The templates on Rob's page can be scaled to whatever size you wish. Rob thoughtfully left them in vector format. The Campaign map pdf I have shows up as already being set to 22"x17" in the document settings.

Any printing outfit worth their salt should know how to re-size (and tell you of any issues involved with doing so) when asked by the customer.

  7. Well these Judge's Guild map sheets are relics of yore. I was suprised that any of these sheets were still out there unused. I'm sure supply is bound to dry up as nobody is printing more.

  8. I was amazed when I first found out you could still get them, unfortunately I had too little money to justify such frivolous spending. Now they're all gone.

I'll probably look into getting equal sized hexmaps printed on good quality paper (though I'll likely avoid the fake parchment look).

  9. The campaign map download pdf is 22" by 17". Staples is capable of printing full size maps.
