How is the Advanced Adventures line?

I'm still looking for some dungeon modules to slap down on my Dark Country map.  I was wondering how Expeditious Retreat's Advanced Adventures line for Osric measured up to other modules.  Are they any good?  Are any of them particularly interesting or awesome?

  1. I can recommend a few - I liked Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom (and there are a few sequels on the way). I also liked Stonesky Delve - it brings in vertical exploration and spelunking. A lot of them are tournament adventures, suitable for one-shots - really easy to get in/out quickly. I have Frozen Wave Satsuma as a Gencon freebie but haven't read it yet (a review will be coming when I get deeper into the reading queue).

  2. Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom is bloody Awesome!

I also really like White Dragon Run, but it's very much a "starter campaign" module, with a small area hexmap, village map & npc's, local color & backstory tidbits and a couple of local starter dungeons. Really good if you're looking for a campaign kick-starter.

Again, Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom is bloody Awesome!

  3. Which one in particular are you thinking about? I could send you a free PDF if you want to take a close look.

  4. Which one in particular are you thinking about? Chasm of the Damned, Curse of the Witch Head, and Red Mausoleum caught my eye. Some others have rather evocative titles and premises too.
