It's an old hypothetical humanoid dinosaur descendant, now firmly enmeshed in Ickean/Cobra-La Reptoid lore, despite being thirty years out of date, paleontology-wise. Fortean Times had a pretty good article pointing out that a sentient Troodon would probably look more like a large, angry chicken.
Nice to meet you Evan. Check out the project I just started -- The Green City, which is built off a lot of the same building blocks as Uz is. I imagine some sort of unholy portal exists somewhere in the depths of the Green City that deposits incautious PCs in the Desert of Demons.

DeleteSo I gotta join the chorus - this looks a lot like my take on Carcosa.
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to think I have to define my settings by what they exclude, not what you might find in them.
