Inspired kinda sorta by Grumpy Old Troll, I have an idea for a project that's probably of no use to anyone but amuses me. I want to stitch together all the wilderness maps from various judges' ConstantCon campaigns into one big map. It would probably look something like this only done in Hexographer.
It's probably too much of a headache to work out, but that doesn't mean I'm not stupid enough to give it a few attempts.
You're either a madman or a genius--I'm willing to go 70-30 on the proportion.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I think all 3 of my Constantcon worlds would provide conceptual nightmares (Tekumel, Hyboria, and Nowhere). But Hill Cantons would be an easy geographically-modest (and hexographer-mapped) fit, as most of the faux-medieval D&Dish sandboxes would.
ReplyDeleteI read the title of the post and thought you were talking about the old Chaosium game Superworld.
ReplyDeleteBut this sounds like an interesting idea.
It is a rowdy idea - my hex map though is all underground (Vault of the Drow underworld wilderness-style)
ReplyDeleteI like it! Though I must admit that my hexmap is basically The Grand Duchy of Karameikos with the serial numbers deeply gouged out. (shhh, don't tell anybody)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a map for Fort Flaime yet... :(
ReplyDeleteI, too, was led here by searching for Superworld materials. Alas. Good luck on that map.
