Nightwick Abbey's Appendix N

This does not represent my "full" Appendix N, and indeed many will note some standards, like REH, are missing.  Nightwick Abbey's is a collection of those sources whose tone I think best matches what I'm trying to accomplish.  The Appendix N in the DMG is perfectly fine for a more general education in D&D, and that is not the purpose of this list.

Some will no doubt find my inclusion of non-literary sources as heretical.  I don't really give a damn.  It will only be the first among many heresies which appear on this blog, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

It is entirely likely that I will add more as I read more, remember things I neglected to include, etc.  If I do so I will edit this entry and include a note about it in a future post.  The list is intentionally small both to account for later additions and to make sure the tone is consistent.

  1. I like this list. And not just because Castlevania is on the list. :D

    Very cool and moody.

  2. Nice! I think I should do something similar with Galbaruc. I've been trying to figure out how to get across the feel I'm going for, and that might help considerably.

Also, a lot of those Corman Poe "adaptations" are available streaming on Netflix, and I think it's high time I watched some of those again. I don't think I've seen Masque of the Red Death since I was a teenager.

    1. I don't think it's available anymore. I believe they still sell Diablo II, but I think Blizzard had a falling out with the guys who made I.
